چکیده
Objctive. To evaluate the analgesic efficacy of prolonged erector spinae fascial plane (ESFP) block in patients with multiple rib fractures. Material and methods. The study included 40 Based on anesthesia methods, were divided into 2 groups, where systemic analgesics used for pain management control group ( N =20), additional supplementation main =20). monitored severity measured by numeric rating scale (NRS) at rest during coughing, forced vital capacity (FVC), need injectable narcotic analgesics. Results. NRS measures statistically significantly superior to results: stage II — 1.5 points (IQR: 1.0–3.0) vs 3.0 3.0–4.0); III 2.0 1.0–2.0) 4.0 3.0–5.0); IV 0.8–2.2) vs. 4.5 4.0–5.0); V 1 point 0–2,0) 2.8–4.0), respectively P 0.001). Percentages predicted FVC depending patient’s gender, age, height weight as follows: 38± 8% (95%CI: 34–41); 44± 40–47); 41±10% 36–45) 49±10% 45–53). In group, following values obtained: 49±15% 42–56), 50±13% 44–57), 53±13% 47–59), 57±11% 52–63). Therefore, significant reduction came up 22%, 14%, 24% 15% stages II-V, 0.05). amounts injected day after initiation 5.0 mg 5–10) 0–5.0) 10.0 5.0–15.0) 7.5 5.0–10.0) Conclusion . improves quality analgesia

The Erector Spinae Plane Block: A Novel Analgesic Technique in Thoracic Neuropathic Pain.
Thoracic neuropathic pain is a debilitating condition that is often poorly responsive to oral and topical pharmacotherapy. The benefit of interventional nerve block procedures is unclear due to a paucity of evidence and the invasiveness of the described techniques. In this report, we describe a novel interfascial plane block, the erector spinae plane (ESP) block, and its successful application ...
متن کاملThe analgesic efficacy of pre-operative bilateral erector spinae plane (ESP) blocks in patients having ventral hernia repair.
Laparoscopic ventral hernia repair is an operation associated with significant postoperative pain, and regional anaesthetic techniques are of potential benefit. The erector spinae plane (ESP) block performed at the level of the T5 transverse process has recently been described for thoracic surgery, and we hypothesised that performing the ESP block at a lower vertebral level would provide effect...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Post thoracotomy pain syndrome (PTPS) remains a common complication of thoracic surgery with significant impact on patients' quality of life. Management usually involves a multidisciplinary approach that includes oral and topical analgesics, performing appropriate interventional techniques, and coordinating additional care such as physiotherapy, psychotherapy and rehabilitat...
متن کاملManagement of patients with multiple rib fractures.
Multiple rib fractures in trauma patients are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. Delayed morbidity for patients with rib fractures is often a result of hypoventilation leading to atelectasis, pneumonia, and respiratory failure. Pain management was first recognized as an important factor in preventing complications in these patients. Later, management of the respiratory system ...
